A couple of weeks ago, my sweet Tayla turned 11. ELEVEN. How is that possible?
She wanted to go to Thorpe Park for her birthday treat, so we were over the moon to be asked to go and then to shout all about it afterwards. ( #thorpeparkmums ... you rock our birthday socks!)
So here you go... a fun photo fest of our day.... be sure to check out our video at the end of this post - it has some hilarious footage from Dave on it! ha!
So here they are... the birthday gang. Tayla, Shanah and her buddies, Saffy, Matt & Holly.
Thanks to our Fast Passes we managed to get on every ride in under 15 minutes - HUGE bonus in the scorching heat!
Let's go to the Beach-Each, Let's go get away.... Mum forgot the swimming cozzies... whoops! Definitely remember this spot for next time as the weather was sweltering!
Swarm....... TOTAL madness. Everyone went on except Scaredy-Cat Me and the Littlie... I couldn't leave her alone now COULD I??!
This whole section of the park is themed like a War Zone or the End of the World with sirens going off, eerie music, roaring rollercoasters..... kind of makes you want to put on a bullet proof vest! HA!
Girls just Wanna Have Fu-u-nn.... They even managed to have fun with the hand washing station in the loo, pressing the foot pumps to the tune of the latest 1D song.
Much needed, cool relief for those waiting for the ride
Thanks everyone for telling me my hat looks like I'm 'livin' in the Gangsta's Paradise....'
Beautiful much? The Crash Pad now offers you the opportunity to stay over at the Park too - from Dream to Scream in just 60 seconds.. plus you'll get the opportunity to ride your favourite rides before the Park opens to the Public.
Saffy is my kinda girl... she insisted on testing the Test Seat before EVERY ride. Love that.
Shanah loved the map... she'll explain more to you about it in the video below :)
While we were waiting we carved the word VOMIT into our suncreamed skin.... we're so cool like that.
The 'glittery princess wall' - Shanah LOVED this, the stone sparkles glitter... of course the camera didn't pick it up.
The overspray from the Tidal Wave - SUPER refreshing in the heat. Check Shan running away on the left. So stinkin' cute.
There was NO way any of them were going on this... Just No.Way.
An old fashioned country and western town thing in the middle of Thorpe Park with Theme music playing? Yes please.
Thorpe Park has an official App too! Live Queue times (FAB), Ride & Park Info, Games and More. FAB FAB FAB.
After a wander round the 'town' we headed off to the Rapids - this was pretty tame but SO much fun... we stayed on and went around twice - lots of footage of this in the video below!
All in All we had a SHA-mazing day... the kids loved it and Tayla was so thrilled with her birthday treat. I would highly recommend Thorpe Park for old and young alike and for those of you with slightly older kids - it's a total total blast. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you'll walk a lot, don't carry too many bags, and have plenty of water and suncream if you're going in the summer months!
Check out our video below to see us in action!
Ps! Thorpe Park has some FAB summer offers on too!
